I'm talking about the fact that the Lubavitcher Rebbe studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. Let's leave aside for the moment whether it makes any difference if the Rebbe was a student there or not. He was, and that is now documented fact.
One of the many canards of the online elements has been that Lubavitch and/or Lubavitchers created the myth of the Rebbe as student at the Sorbonne to bolster his standing in the eyes of the world. They granted that the Rebbe studied at a Technical Institute in Paris and did well, but no more. The greatest defense I could think of was that the Rebbe sat in on classes as an observer, but wasn't enrolled. How do you document that?
Well, an organization dedicated to preserving the Rebbe's history and legacy called JEM has just provided the documentation. The Rebbe was enrolled as a student in the Sorbonne for two years, 1938-1939. He is listed as a student in the school register. You can see this for yourself in their latest video, The Early Years part III.
May the truth rule. May the online elements perish.

when is vol III expected out?
It should have been out already, I don't know. It was previewed in a recent Kfar Chabad.
I'm glad to see that you're finally blogging like the rest of us.
I hope to see ever greater things from this blog!

I wish you the best success in your blog, and you really got a good start with this post
I am sure that you are going to let Tzemach to post here
But I don't think that Tzemach has the gots
Thanks. I do not plan on moderating comments in any way.
btw, Yisroel Pinson writes that the video is due out this week.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Btw, you claim that the 'online elements' agree that the Rebbe got good grades at the Technical Institue,I don't recall that at all, I seem to remember that the grades were unremarkable
Welcome.
Personally, I'd wait for the video to come out so we can see just what this documentation is. Right now all we have is JEM's word, against those of Herr Professor Doktor Historian-Extraordinaire Menachem Friedman, and that paragon of academic standards Shimmy Deutsch. Not to mention the fearless Scott, arbiter of credibility on the net.
But I can see the response already: "for years you insisted that it didn't matter whether he was at the Sorbonne, that it had never been stated by official sources, that it was no big deal. So why are you making a big deal of it now?" Of course, the only reason it's now a big deal is because they made it a big deal.
foleh, they said not outstanding, but not bad either. That would translate to good.
Milhouse, more on that soon.
Whats the proof? A promise of proof is NOT proof

You've already tried to twist the truth on a minor issue so it does not bode well for the rest of the blogging, after all there are many Lubab apologist sites that everyone, including the Lubab posters know, are defensive and apologetic .What is going to be the 'chidush' of your site?
Not outstanding and not 'bad' does not translate as 'good'.
(btw, one of the guys posting here in an attempt to push the apologetic envelope regarding the high percentages of Meshichist Lubab aka yellow flag meshugoim, decided that there is actually nothing wrong with Jews for Yoshkeh either! So why 'blame' Lubavitch?)
I have seen the proof. You will be able to see it when the video is public.
Don't worry, foleh my dear, I will be posting on yours and other efforts to redefine twisting the truth to allow yourselves to twist the truth.
I do not plan on being an apologist. We wrote apologetics for the possibility of the Rebbe not having been enrolled in Sorbonne. Apologetics are done for, as they should be dead in the MO world as well when it comes to Torah in general. More on that as well.
lol
Lat night ,chevreman put the link of your blog in reshimu and Atlas deleted it.lol
Foleh, you are a liar.
reshimu (mentalblog) wants to deny the truth
chevreman was kicked out from reshimu just for posting "real proofs, not bobbo maises" and the ling of this blog
